THE GREAT WAR 1914-18
Hedley has a special interest in the Great War. He and his wife Hazel are two of some 40 volunteers who go out to the Somme every year to help maintain the Lochnagar Crater, one of the most iconic reminders of the Battle of the Somme in 1916. He is creating a collection of images showing important monuments and scenes on the Western Front. Here are the first five, others will be added.
