CANTERBURY, A CATHEDRAL CITY IN EAST KENT
Best known for the martyrdom of Thomas Becket in the Cathedral in 1170, Canterbury is an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Popular with tourists and pilgrims worldwide it retains large parts of its ancient walls and historical sites. Canterbury has two universities, a theatre and is the home of the Kent County Cricket Club.
