Cranbrook, Kent


CRANBROOK, A SMALL COUNTRY TOWN IN MID-KENT

Cranbrook, population around 7000, is situated between Maidstone and Hastings and about 40 miles from London. It has roots dating back to Roman times. Essentially an agricultural area the town is best known for its windmill, now fully restored and in working order, and for its grammar school that dates back to 1727. The parish church, St Dunstan's, is called the 'Cathedral of the Weald'.
